NEWS--

The new school year has begun. All of our classrooms are very busy. We are currently transporting 22 children to four different school districts and 9 schools. We are busy! We have welcomed some new children to our center and said goodbye to some of our long time children who are getting too old for Hiland. It’s hard to believe that such a day could come when we can so easily remember so many of the children as young infants. Commitment and dedication have wonderful rewards, we are so fortunate that we are able to watch and be an integral part of your child’s development!

Our staff will continue to provide high standards of quality education and will empower and celebrate your child’s unique and special gifts. They will be responsive, friendly, caring, challenging and fun. Our classrooms have defined rules for acceptable behaviors and will work with the children to provide a safe, happy and secure environment away from home. We will ask for input into our classroom program from parents and students while we concentrate on respecting the differences in the abilities, talents and backgrounds of the children in our care. We are aware of the value of play and will provide experiences that challenge and engage the children at Hiland.

Hiland will begin its annual Holiday fundraiser which includes Sarris Candy and Breaded Breads on October 30. Fundraiser forms should be returned by the morning of November 13. Delivery of all items will be on December 7th. Thank you in advance for your support of our program.

Please remember Hiland if you want to make a charitable donation. We participate in the Contributor Choice Donor Contributions; our Agency Code is (3441). We appreciate any contribution as we utilize the monies for classroom upgrades.

Just a reminder that Hiland Child Care will be closed on the following days:
• November 23 and 24 for Thanksgiving Holiday
• December 25 and 26 for the Christmas Holiday
• December 27th for Staff In Service
• January 1st for New Years Day

Summer School Age Program

Be on the lookout for fairies, dragons, mermaids and knights.  You may spot a few in the Garret this summer as we enter into "An Enchanted Summer."

Our days are sure to be fun and exciting as we learn about the Renaissance Age and explore the fantasy world.

We will be traveling to many local destinations which include the National Aviary, Humane Society Shelter, bowling, Jewart's Gymnastics, Marburger Dairy Farm, Sports Works and many more.

We are looking forward to the end of the school year and the extravagant summer that lies ahead.

Hiland Child Care held it's annual Family Night Picnic on May 12,2006.

This was a night of fun and excitement.  The children performed a selection of songs from Disney movies and we even had some School Age children who were brave and sang together in front of all the families!  The children practiced very hard and did a beautiful job at entertaining us all.  Each child adds so much to the program and is very special.  The Board of Directors of Hiland Child Care also recognized staff for their years of service and dedication to the families at Hiland.  It was a great evening and one that was enjoyed by everyone.
